Under the motto "The EURO 2024 will be our game," this summer, Berlin, placed a strong emphasis on sustainability. But what role did the Future League play. With our expert sustainability team, act GREEN, we managed the Future League concept for the Senate Department for the Interior and Sport Berlin in the context of UEFA EURO 2024. This involved coordinating and activating more than 100 purpose-driven projects from a diverse group of playmakers within the Berlin sustainability eco-system. We co-created the "Future Hub" at the Fan Zone near the Reichstag, designed a Sustainability Focus Day, the "Future Day", created "Future Routes" through the city and complemented these efforts with engaging content to shine a spotlight on these initiatives. Furthermore, we co-created a sustainability-focused engagement program for all UEFA EURO volunteers with the Future League playmakers. The Future League served as a vital communication platform, offering everyone the opportunity to connect with Berlin's diverse initiatives and engage in sustainable efforts. By integrating football, culture, and sustainability, it highlighted Berlin's commitment to a sustainable future and raised awareness about the city’s sustainable initiatives.
